Recipe Dabba helps people save, organize, translate, and share recipes. This policy explains what information we process when you use the service and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

• Account details: your email address, username, authentication information, and basic profile details.
• Recipe content: recipes, notes, images, audio recordings, translations, favorites, and sharing choices you add to the service.
• Messages: your name, email address, category, subject, and message when you contact us.
• Technical data: limited device, browser, performance, and usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure Recipe Dabba, save and display your recipes, perform features you request, respond to support messages, troubleshoot problems, and understand service performance. We do not sell your personal information.

AI features

AI features are optional and run only when you request them. Content needed for the selected operation may be sent to your chosen provider (OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Anthropic Claude). OpenAI and Gemini support text, audio transcription, and image generation; Claude is used only for supported text features. Saved API keys are encrypted before storage and are not displayed again in your browser. Avoid including sensitive personal information in content submitted for AI processing.

Service providers

We rely on providers that process information on our behalf to deliver the service, including Supabase for authentication and cloud data storage, Vercel for hosting and service analytics, OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic for optional AI features, and Google for contact-form email delivery through Gmail. Their handling of information is also governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Storage, sharing, and retention

Recipes are private unless you choose to publish or share them. Information may be disclosed when you direct us to share it, when a service provider needs it to perform work for us, or when disclosure is required to comply with law or protect the service and its users. We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and maintain security. Contact messages may be retained for support and record-keeping.

Your choices

You can edit or delete recipes you control, choose whether a recipe is private or public, avoid optional AI features, and use the local-only storage mode when it is available. To request access, correction, or deletion of other personal information, contact us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Security and children

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Recipe Dabba is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

Changes and contact
